King Middle School Student Performances!

Since February, two groups of 7th grade artists at King Middle School have been collaborating to create two new performances. Join us for the original play premieres on May 13 and May 15 at 5pm at King Middle School 92 Deering Avenue in Portland! 

On May 13 at 5pm, “Break the Pattern Today or the Loop Will Continue” is an original play created by 7th grade artists that addresses the hard parts of school: friendship, challenging moments with teachers, and feelings of betrayal. 

On May 15 at 5pm, “Stressful Situations” is an original play created by 7th grade artists that expresses how conflict can become physical and what it's like to be a bystander. 

Each performance is followed by a dialogue between the creators and the audience and everyone is invited to eat dinner together after the show.

This is the second year of MIO’s partnership with King Middle School. These student artists created and shared their first plays last year, and they are looking forward to this year’s performances and dialogues!
