“Streets & Heartbeats” Open Mic Night

Join us tonight Wednesday, May 22 at 5:30pm for “Streets & Heartbeats” a community Open Mic at L/A Arts. The event is hosted by Maine Inside Out’s Lewiston community group and features poet and rapper Andre Hicks and MIO community artists. Anyone is welcome and encouraged to sign up to perform. 

“Streets & Heartbeats” is the first event in our Spring festival series “The City That Carries Us: Pain, Streets, and Heartbeats! The festival honors community, joy, and grief through public art events and performances culminating with a parade and block party on Juneteenth. 

All of MIO’s Open Mics in Lewiston this year are funded by the National Endowment for the Arts to support art for healing after the devastating mass shooting.
