Join us on September 6 for a performance at Celebration Barn!
Maine Inside Out is kicking off our Fall season with a free performance at Celebration Barn in South Paris, Maine on Friday, September 6 at 7:30pm (doors open at 7pm). Celebration Barn is a nationally renowned center for physical theater training and performance. MIO’s creative ensemble is participating in a 3 day residency at the barn, culminating with the performance on Friday night! The performance will be followed by a dialogue with the audience and performers. Themes for the performance include gun violence, incarceration, death, grief, mental health, recovery, peer pressure, community trust, and family. The performance features audio recordings by MIO artists incarcerated at Mountain View Correctional Facility.
MIO’s creative ensemble formed this Spring to create an original play, “Broken Clock,” for the Junteenth festival in Lewiston. This Fall, the ensemble will continue developing and touring the play with the facilitation support of Amanda Huotari. We would love for you to join us on Friday for the first performance of the tour! You can reserve your free tickets here: https://events.humanitix.com/maine-inside-out-presentation
